For our friends at de la cream, we are creating a brand from scratch. The idea of the name was already provided as it’s a play on words of the owner’s last name. In our brief we decided on the 3 main adjectives to use for the brand: colorful, cute and versatile. We decided to create a icon and typography combination for the logo and use them interchangeably as the idea is to create something more than just a juice,ice cream or snack bar, but an actual brand with accessories and appeal.
High contrasting colors and varying shades make up the icon, and for the type a striking san-serif font in line with one of the owner’s favorite brands. The cute factor comes from the characteristics of the ice cream cone: the line width, the rounded corners and the caricature yet simple illustration along with the idea of being able to see through the delicious balls of ice cream and see the fruit like small gelatin capsules with various layers.Lastly the versatility comes from using the type and icon interchangeably for marketing and decoration. Currently working on plans for the interior decoration as well as the cutlery that will be used in each location.
As part of the branding we worked on several ideas for collateral down the line, the most important part of brand identity is the fact the you don’t want to limit yourself and become a brand people love as much if not more so than the actual product.
We focus in the future and your growth, we build a brand that will gain the attention of customers and increase your profit. As we all know the best brands are life-style oriented and we like to show you that whether this is your first venture or your 50th you can still have as a presence that will be relevant to your audience and competitors.
